Nancy Jane Brandenburg Spivey died at her home at Arvel, KY at 11:27 p.m. April 21 after a short illness. Born in Lee County June 25, 1867, a daughter of Jackson and Martha Callahan Brandenburg. She first married Noah Mullins. After his death she married William Spivey who also preceded her in death. She was a member of the Stone Coal Baptist Church for 78 years.

Survivors are Fannie Mays, Arvel, KY; Ray Brandenburg, Glenwood, IN, Jess Mullins, IL, three sisters, Lucy Lynch, Chillicothe, OH, Bertha Coey, Chillicothe, OH, Margaret Farmer, Rt. 1, Beattyville, two brothers, David Brandenburg, Beattyville, Hurman Brandenburg, Fort Knox Hospital, 15 grandchildren, 48 Great Grandchildren, two Great, Great, Grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. April 24 at Stone Coal Baptist Church by Rev. Frank Wilson, Jim Sandlin and Bee McCollum. Interment in Stone Coal Cemetery with Baker-Justice Funeral Home in charge. Pallbearers friends of the family.
