Richard J. Mahon, 67, of Thompson, Conn., died March 19, 2004 in the Veterans Administration Medical Center Providence, R.I. He was a retired Presidential Secret Service agent and US Army investigator. He is survived by a son, John R. Mahon of Marlboro; a daughter, Theresa J. Klingler of Sterling; his close companion, Jeannine Dalpe of Conn.; three brothers, David and James Mahon in Conn. and Edmund Mahon in Col.; a sister, Shirley Gauthier in Conn.; five grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Daniel V. Mahon in 2003. A memorial Mass was held March 27 in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Worcester. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude's Place, Memphis Tenn. 38105 or online at www.Stjude.org/donors. Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel, 370 Plantation St., Worcester directed arrangements.
