They both died within a short time of each other from the Yellow Fever, and were buried beside each other at St Michael's and Zion Churchyard.
When that burial ground was abandonded, their remains were removed to Laurel Hill Cemetery with their original tombstones, with the inscriptions:

Here lies the body of Dorothy wife of George Leib Esqr who died of the Yellow Fever Nov 5 1798 age 62 yrs
