Anna Dorothea Andreas was born December 20, 1828, at Fraustadt Province, Prosen, German. She came directly from Germany to Plymouth in 1854 and was married on March 13, 1855 to August W. Korte. In 1905 the couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary.

Plymouth. -- Mrs. August Korte, a former resident of Plymouth, died this morning at the home of her granddaughter, Mrs. Clarence Tompkins, at Rockford, Illinois, at the age of ninety-seven years.
The body will be shipped to Plymouth Saturday and the funeral will be held Monday at 2 p. m. from the Evangelical church. Burial will be made in the Union cemetery.
Mrs. Korte lived in the town of Plymouth for many years and also lived in the city of Plymouth for a number of years before going to Rockford to live with her granddaughter.
