Mrs. Sallie Vance, seventy-four year old woman of this city, died at her residence on Ury Street at 3:45 0'clock yesterday afternoon after a long illness.
Funeral services were conducted at First Methodist Church at four o'clock this afternoon by Rev. A. N. Goforth. Burial was in East View Cemetery with White and Ranson in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Vance is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Jim Lowrance of this city; seven grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.
Mrs. Vance was the granddaughter of David Crockett, famous Tennessee pioneer and statesman. She was the daughter of Matilda Crockett Wilson, youngest daughter of David Crockett, and James Wilson.
She was born in Gibson County, but had lived in Obion County for many years.
