He was the Rev. Mr. Morgan Dix, Rector of Trinity Church. He died in 1908 but he was buried under the altar of the Chapel in 1912. There is an Effigy of him in the north side of the Chapel. His father was the politician John Adams Dix who had Fort Dix in New Jersey named after him. His mother, Catherine Morgan, was an adopted daughter of Congressman John J. Morgan. His mother is buried in the vault of her adopted father. His parents were married in 1826.
