Gladys H. Lysell went to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday October 1st 2011. Visitation will be from 10 to 12 with services at 12 pm. At the funeral home, Sullivan-Phillips Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to Grace United Methodist Church, East Moline or Watertown Food Pantry.
Gladys was born October 3rd 1919, the daughter of Charles and Hilma (Erickson) Johnson. Gladys married Frank Lysell on December 7, 1937 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He preceded her in February 2003.
Gladys was a very social person and enjoyed going to the Viking Club with her husband. She was a previous member of Moline Activities Center. She also enjoyed dancing, gardening and visiting with friends and family. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and she will be sadly missed.
Survivors (and spouses) include her son, Walter (Carole); grandchildren Regina Lysell, Lexington, KY, and Lynette (Jerry) Kennedy, Rock Island, IL; great-grandchild, Kyle Kennedy, Rock Island; siblings Pauline Doyel, Leland (Betty) Johnson, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, and several brothers and sisters.
