DIED IN MARSHALL
A telephone message was received here from Marshall Thursday morning that Mrs. Mary J. Goodson had died at her home in that city at 4 o'clock Thursday morning and that the funeral and burial would take place over there, but did not state the time.
Mrs. Goodson was the widow of the late Pres. Goodson. Her maiden name was Mary Catron and she was reared in Lexington. She was married to Mr. Goodson in the early seventies. Three children were born of this union. The son died in infancy; two daughters, Misses Ella and Mary survive her. Mr. Goodson died April 11, 1888, and was buried at the Trotter cemetery. It is probable that the bodies of Mr. Goodson and the son will be disinterred and taken to Marshall.
Mrs. Goodson lived here a few years after her husband's death, and then went to Marshall, where she has since lived. She was a most estimable Christian woman and had a large number of friends here.
The funeral services will be held in Marshall Saturday morning at 10 o'clock.
