Jeanne FINCHER, 71, 6066 S. Fulton County Road 200 W., Rochester, died at 10:15 a.m. Thursday. Born to George Curtis and Minnie June LOWE TOWNSEND in Lake Cicott, she married Richard G. FINCHER June 9, 1949 in Fulton. He survives. Mrs. Fincher was retired from Torin Corp., Rochester, and was a substitute custodian at Caston Schools. A graduate of Fulton High School, she was a flower gardener and enjoyed baking. She was active with Fulton County 4-H, serving on the advisory board and council, la volunteer for the Literacy Coalition Board of Fulton County, servedon the board of directors of Fulton County Historical Society and was a Master Gardener.
Surviving with her husband, of Rochester, are one daughter, Deb. WALSH and husband Jim,Rochester; two sons, Dave and wife Linda [FINCHER], Richmond; Dick and wife Michele [FINCHER], Long Valley, N.J.; ten grandchildren, Matthew [WALSH, Stacey [WALSH], Megan [WALSH] and Eric WALSH; Teresa MATHEWS; Whitney DAUGHERT; Stephanie COSTELLO; Garrett CAIN; Logann and Brittany FINCHER; three great-granchildren, Emma [MATHEWS] and Dalen MATHEWS and Evan Matthew WALSH; one sister, Bette GUNDRUM and husband Alfred, Kewanna. Preceding in death were her parents and three brothers, George [TOWNSEND], Robert [TOWNSEND] and John TOWNSEND.
Services were Saturday at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Fulton, with Rev. George HAPNER
officiating. Private family burial will take place at Salem Cemetery, northwest of Fulton, at a later date.
Memorials may be made to the Jeanne Fincher Memorial Fund of the Fulton United Methodist Church.
