Death at East Onondaga of Amelia Pomeroy Searle

The death of Mrs. Amelia Pomeroy Searle, widow of the late N.B. Searle, occurred at the home of her daughter, Mrs. D. Hayden, yesterday at the age of 94 years and 10 months. Her death was due to old age. Mrs. Hayden was one of the oldest residents of Onondaga Valley, having removed from Otisco and settled there with her husband while she was a comparatively young woman. During her active years Mrs. Searle was a prominent factor in the life of the valley and was a leader in church work. For a number of years she had been confined to her daughter's home by feebleness attendant upon her advanced years.
She is survived by a son and two daughters, Samuel B. Searle, Miss Ann Searle and Mrs. Hayden, all of East Onondaga, several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her funeral will be held at the home of Mrs. Hayden in East Onondaga on Monday at 2 p.m. and friends are invited to attend.
