~0bit~Nancy Lee Yearous, 66, of Independence, died on Thursday, July 21, at her home near Independence. Nancy was born on August 3, 1944, in Independence, the daughter of Thomas H. and Fern (Hines) Price. She received her education in the Independence Community School, and was married to Paul E. Yearous on July 7, 1960 in Kahoka, Missouri. The couple made their home near Independence, where Nancy worked with her husband in the Yearous Trucking Company doing the bookkeeping and dispatching. Nancy also operated the Nancy Yearous Auto Sales. She is survived by her husband Paul, five children: Roxie (Don Connolly) Brigmann, Independence, Rex (Laurie) Yearous, Independence, Vanessa (John) Lee, Quasqueton, Annette (Ken Armstrong) Yearous, and Jason (Melissa Teynor) Yearous, Oelwein, 12 grandchildren, 11 step-grandchildren, and 14 great- grandchildren, her mother, Fern Price, Independence, two sisters; Patsy (Harold) Gosse, Rochelle, Illinois, and Diane Price, Independence, and a brother, Tom (Cheryl) Price, Rowley. She was preceded in death by her father Thomas Price, and two brothers, William and James Price. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 25, at the Reiff Funeral Home and crematory, Independence. Burial will be in the Circle Grove Cemetery near the Hoover Church near Walker, Iowa. Friends my call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. until services Monday at the funeral home.
