MACFARLANE, Thomas William Robert Died peacefully at his home December 14, 2007, in his 61st year.

Dr. Thomas William Robert Macfarlane BA, MSc, MD, Phd., leaves behind Loving wife, Penelope Ann, children Rebecca Jean, Ruth Margaret and Thomas Luke. Survived by his sister Pam Lewonas (Charlie), nephew Quentin, niece Romney, aunt Isabelle Longbothom (Henry) and the extended families of McAlister, Agro, O'Sullivan and Kingsmill. Director of University of Western Ontario Health Services, Student Health, Workplace Health, Staff/Faculty Family Practice Clinic. Assistant Professor Medical Biophysics, and proud founder of the Student Emergency Response Team (SERT).

A mentor to many and supporter to all, Dr. Tom will be greatly missed by friends, students, colleagues and family.

The family will receive friends at the Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North on Tuesday, December 18th from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A Memorial service will be held at St. Paul's Cathedral, 472 Richmond Street, London on Wednesday, December 19th at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in memory of Dr. Tom are asked to consider the Student Emergency Response Team (SERT) at the UWO c/o Foundation Western.
