Marilyn Brown Neth, 72, of Charleston, died Thursday, December 6th at her home in Charleston, SC after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Mrs. Neth was born March 20, 1929 in Lake Butler, Florida, the daughter of Eurie and Hazel Greene Brown.
She attended Union County, Florida public schools and was a 1951 graduate of Florida Southern College.
Mrs. Neth taught at John Cox Elementary and, for many years, Central Avenue Elementary School. She was a member of the Roper Hospital Auxiliary and Delta Zeta sorority and formerly belonged to First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Lakeland.
Mrs. Neth is survived by her husband of 50 years, Carl N. Neth, one daughter, Susan Neth Howell and husband Scott, two granddaughters, Caroline Cullom Howell and Rebecca Reed Howell, all of Charleston, SC.
Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday, December 9th at the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) on Orange Grove Rd., in Charleston. Entombment will follow in Magnolia Cemetery in Charleston.
At the conclusion of the services the family will receive friends at 64 Brisbane Dr., Parkshore, Charleston, S.C.
