Mary Ruth Lyon Rose. Born August 17, 1925 in Clarksville, Texas, passed away November 18, 2014 in Garland, Texas. Mary graduated from Clarksville High School and Paris Junior College. She was a licensed gemologist and worked many years for Gordon and Linz Jewelers. Mary was a longtime member of White Rock United Methodist Church and local AARP chapter at the Lake Highlands Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by, her parents, Thomas and Grace Lyon; brother, Thomas, Jr; and sisters, Louise Roberts and Jane Morgan. Survivors include: brother, George Lyon and wife Ellen; sister-in-law, Katie Lyon; brother-in-law, Russell Roberts; and numerous nieces, nephews and close friends. Funeral services will be held, 2:00 PM, Thursday, November 20, 2014, Sparkman/Crane Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services will be held, 12:00 noon, Friday, Fairview Cemetery, Clarksville, Texas.
