Civil War Confederate Army Officer. A Major in the Confederate Army, he was wounded in action at the Battle of Antietam on September 17, 1862 and died of his wounds on November 3, 1862. Prior to the war he was a member of the Mississippi State Legislature serving from 1858 to 1859 and from 1860 to 1861.
