MOLINE--Elwood C. Martin, 57, of 2006 3rd St., Moline, died of a heart attack about 8:30 a.m. Monday at John Deere Harvester Works, East Moline, where he was employed as an assembler.
The body was taken to the Wendt Brothers Funeral Home, Moline.
He was born Feb. 25, 1900 and married Mrs. Margaret Anderson April 13, 1940 at Burlington, Iowa. He was a member of the Wesley Methodist Church, the Eagles Turners and Friends Circle Club, Moline.
Surviving are his wife, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fulton Martin, New Boston; a daughter, Carol, at home; a step-son, Gene Anderson, Moline; three sisters; Mrs. Loyal Friese, new Boston, Mrs. Marie Anderson, Moline, and Mrs. Clifford Hayes, Dallas, Texas.
