Charles attended Chestnut Grove School, Gum Tree, Pa., Coatesville High School, and graduated from the Pennsylvania State University in 1921. He was engaged in farming and raising mushrooms, until retiring in 1964.

Charles was a member of Fallowfield Friends Meeting, Ercildoun, Pa., Doe Run Farmers Club, Pennsylvania Farmers Association, and the Doe Run Grange. He served on the Highland Twp., Chester Co., Pa. Zoning Board and as the assessor for that township. Charles lived all his life at the Maule home in Gum Tree, Pa.

Helen graduated from London Grove Friends School, and West Chester State Normal School and later took courses at Rutgers University and Temple University. She also attended the University of Pennsylvania. Helen began her teaching career in 1917 at the Chestnut Grove School, Gum Tree, Pa., and then taught in West Marlborough Twp., Chester Co., Pa., Delaware Co., Pa., Ocean Grove, N.J., Camden, N.J., and East Fallowfield Elementary School, Chester Co., Pa. Helen is a member of the Religious Society of Friends and of national, state, and local educational associations.

Charles and Helen had no children.

In 1981, Helen lived at RD 3, Box 308, Coatesville, Pa. 19320.

In 1983, Helen moved to 7 Locust St., Oxford, Pa. 19363.
