Steve Elkins' Estate
Stephen B. Elkins died recently, and his will disposes of over $3,000,000. he lived at 381 Park Avenue and left a life income of $1,000 a month to a friend, Mrs. E. I. Martin of Hollis, L.I.
Son of the late Senator from West Virginia, Stephen B. Elkins, he was a grandson of the late Senator from West Virginia, Henry G. Davis. His sister, Katherine Elkins, also heiress to millions, was expected to marry the Duke d'Abruzzi, but instead, married, divorced and remarried William F. R. Hitt, of Washington. Stephen B. Elkins knew many pros and attended the parties given by Aimee Crocker - Ashe - Gillig - Couraud, who later divorced Alexandre Miskinoff and Prince Galatzine.
