SOUTH BEND - Helen A. Maslowski, 94, passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2011, in Memorial Hospital, South Bend. Helen was born on February 21, 1917, in South Bend, to the late Walter and Martha (Kapczynski) Brzyski. On October 21, 1939, she married William J. Maslowski, who preceded her in death on August 6, 2002. She was also preceded in death by her son, Cornell, and by her four brothers and two sisters.

She is survived by her son, Con (Carrol) Maslowski of Kansas City, MO; two daughters, Cyndy (Craig) Wilson of Crown Point, IN, and Claudia Maslowski of South Bend; and eight grandchildren, Cheryl (Jim ) Ross, Christy (Jason) Gudenkauf, Christian (Michelle) Maslowski, Brian (Anny) Maslowski, Dan (Lyndsay) Maslowski, Bill Wilson, Melissa (Brian) Jenner and Melanie (Todd) Szucs; 12 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Nancy Weis.

Helen was employed at Lee Jeans Factory and Wilson Brother Shirts as a seamstress in the 1930s. She forsake that career to become a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. She was a lifelong parishioner of St. Adalbert Catholic Church, where she belonged to the Rosary Society. She will be sadly missed by her loving family.
