Frank Goodwin, a native of this city, died this Friday afternoon after brief illness. He was born in this city Nov. 11, 1841, the son of Ichabod and Sarah Parker Rice Goodwin His early education was gained in the public sctools of his native town afterwards he graduated from Harvard college in the class of 1863. Later from the Harvard law school. He followed his profession in Boston until 1885. He then became professor of real property law at the Boston University law school, which postion he filled actively until 1903, when he was obliged to give up active work due to impaired eyesight. At this time he was made Emeritus professor of law at Boston University law school, which position he held until the time of his death; After the impairment of his eyesight he incorporated his law lectures in a book entitled Goodwin on Real Property. In 1867 he married Mary G. Buttrick of Cambridge, who survives him together with two daughters and a son. He was a member of the Federal Fire Society for many years.

The funeral of Frank Goodwin was held from the Unitarian church this morning at 11 o'clock, Rev. Alfred Gooding officiating. Interment was in the Goodwin tomb, South cemetery in charge of Undertaker O. W. Ham (?)
