Weona loved to cook biscuits and corn beef hash, when she lived in Vandalia and me and my grandparents would come and visit her. She also made then when she temporary lived with her daughter and son-in-law and step great grandchildren. Weona treated them like they were grandchildren of her own. My brother and I loved her.
She owned her own home in Vandalia, MI and she would rent out her bedrooms and her daughter inherited the house when she passed away. I remember she had an outhouse outside her house. Also, she loved to go fishing. A tragedy happen one day when she went fishing and she got injured in her left eye and she had to have surgery and she lost her left eye.
Not sure who made the tombstone but the date that she passed away on her obituary said 22 Sept 1980
Weona was married two times. Her first husband was Charley Adams and she married him on 20 December 1911. Her second husband was Oscar Brown and she married him on 09 June 1917 and they had one daughter name Eunice Wanda Brown.
