Chester W. Malinowski, 59, of 18 Morris Ave., in the Turners Falls section, died Tuesday at Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield. He was a cemetery caretaker of Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery, Springdale Cemetery and previously, Aaron Clark Cemetery, all in Turners Falls. He was born in Turners Falls, attended Turners Falls High School and was a lifelong resident. He was a member of St. Kaziemerz Society, associate member of the Daly-Solomon Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 923. He raised and trained German shorthairs and also raised pheasant and quail. He leaves a son, Lawrence of Colrain; a daughter, Paula Bird of Colrain; a brother, Joseph of Greenfield; two sisters, Rosemary Conway of Greenfield and Teresa Cuff of Erving, and five grandchildren. The funeral will be Friday morning at Kostanski Funeral Home, with burial in Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery, both in Turners Falls. Calling hours are Thursday evening.
