Front Side: "Entered service in Saratoga, N.Y. May 11, 1817, entered the higher service from Little Rock, Ark. Feb 13, 1892, a valiant soldier in service of the King"
Reverse Side: "Founder of the first society for temperance and prohition in Arkansas, life member of the W.T.C.U., Secretary of Arkansas Humane Society, he went about doing good. It is enough for the servant that he be as his master, and the servant as his Lord. Matt. 10:25"
