James Earl Strickland, 76, of Senatobia, Miss., passed away February 28, 2011 at his residence. Services were held Saturday, March 5, at 11:00 a.m. at the Crockett Church of Christ where he was a member. Burial followed at Crockett Cemetery. He retired from the William Carter Co. after 44 years.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Joyce Mabry Strickland of Senatobia, Miss.; son, David Strickland of Senatobia; sisters, Vernice Hill and Vernell Kopf both of Senatobia; grandsons, Josh Strickland and Ryan Strickland; and great grandson, Jayden Matthew Strickland.
He was preceded in death by his parents, H. G. and Gladys Strickland and his brother, Kenneth Ray Strickland.
The family requests that any memorials be made to the Crockett Church of Christ or the Crockett Cemetery.
