Former Swedish Diplomat

Fredrik Wachtmeister, 62, who served in the Swedish diplomatic service here during World War II, died of a heart ailment Tuesday at his home, Whitehall Farm in Warrenton, Va.
Mr. Wachtmeister was with the Swedish Embassy here from 1941 to 1946. From 1940 to 1941 he had served in Lisbon; Portugal, and from 1932 until 1940 was with the Swedish Embassy in Brussels, Belgium.
Mr. Wachtmeister operated his farm from 1946 to 1960. In 1960 he was director of the Equitable Life Insurance Co. of Iowa.
He was born in Paris and graduated from Cambridge University in England 1931.
He leaves his wife, Jan D,; two daughters, Marianne Adair, of London and Linda Elizabeth, and two sons, Hans F., of Virginia Beach,Va. and Edward Carl.
Graveside services will be held at noon tomorrow in Warrenton.
The family suggest expressions of sympathy be in the form of contributions to the Fauquier County Hospital, Warrenton
