He served until peace was declared and died the following year. ; Benjamin Elliott gave militia service and represented Bedford in the convention that framed the State Constitution. ; William Thompson was a member of the Committee of Observation of Cumberland county, and captain of Associators at the battles of Brandywine and Germantown.
