BELCHERTOWN---Phyllis E. (Pike) Roy, 85, of 281 Chauncey Walker St., passed away Saturday, Feb. 19th, 2011 at Baystate Medical Center, Spring-field, surrounded by her loving family. Born & educated in Arlington, MA, she was the daughter of the late George & A. Gertrude Pike, and was a graduate of Arlington High School. Phyllis, along with her late husband Aren S. Roy, was the co-owner and operator of Roy's Home Decorating Co. in East Longmeadow from 1974 -1986. She was also a Founding Member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church, a member of the Daughters of the Nile for over 20 years, a Past Matron and member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and a member of the Melha Shrine's Forget-Me-Not's. She is survived by a son, Richard A. Roy and his wife Ellen of Helotes, TX, a daughter Susan Walbridge and her husband David of Hampden, MA, a brother Gordon Pike of Haymarket, VA, two sisters, Carolyn Andrews of Woburn, MA, and Ruth Jackson of Wells, ME, a sister-in-law, Minnie Roy of St. Louis, MI, a brother-in-law, Jesse Roy of Sacramento, CA, seven grandchildren, Kimberly Leslie, Jason Walbridge, Todd Roy, Chad Roy, Kelli Carlson, Robert Zanoli, & Jared Roy, eleven great-grandchildren, and several niece & nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Aren S. Roy in 2006, a daughter, Robin Zanoli in 1998, and her siblings Myrtle Greenland, George Pike Jr., & Robert Pike. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 26th, 2011 at 9:30 am at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 1 Porter Rd., East Longmeadow, MA. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Park Cemetery. Family and friends may gather at the Forastiere-Smith Funeral Home, 220 North Main St., East Longmeadow, MA on Thursday, Feb. 24th, 2011 from 3-7 pm.
