"Mrs. Sarah P. Pollak Dies from Effect of Accident"
Mrs. Sarah Perry Pollak, widow of the late Dr. Simon Pollak, died at 9:15 o'clock last night from the effects of an accident that she suffered on May 24 last. On that date, Mrs. Pollak fell and fractured her left thigh, since which time she had failed in health rapidly.
Mrs. Pollak was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, the daughter of the late Samuel Perry. She was married in that city in 1863 to Dr. Pollak. Dr. Pollak, who died on October 31,1903, was actively engaged in the practice of medicine up to the time of his death, when he was said to be the oldest practitioner in the city.
Two sons survive Mrs. Pollak. They are S. Perry Pollak of New York and Charles P. Pollak of Chicago. A sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Dutton of Washington, D.C. also survives Mrs. Pollak. The late Mrs. George [Mary] Hoadly, wife of a former governor of Ohio, was also a sister of Mrs. Pollak.
The funeral will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon from Mrs. Pollak's home, 1129 North Grand Avenue. Rev. Charles F. Blaisdell of Holy Communion Episcopal Church will conduct the services.
