Son of Dr. David Hunter Tucker, long a surgeon at MCV in Richmond and a final attendant to Gen. "Stonewall" Jackson and Elizabeth Nicklin Dallas, a daughter of Vice-President George Mifflin Dallas.

His first wife was Harriet Ashburner.

The Independent-Herald, Hinton, West Virginia
Thursday, November 28, 1918, p. 6.

A telegram received here announces the death of Rev Dallas Tucker, at his old home, at Charles Town, Friday am. His passing was sudden, probably due to heart trouble, with which he had been afflicted for a long time.

Mr. Tucker formerly resided here, being pastor of the Episcopal church for several years. He was a noble hearted gentleman, typical of the Mother State's older men, and the loss of his influence for good is a matter of public regret.

Mr. Tucker was not only a preacher of ability, but a fluent writer and many will recall the excellence of his contributions to the pages of literature.

He was twice married, and is survived by a daughter of the first marriage and his last wife. Mrs. Tucker has the sympathy of her many Hinton friends in her great loss.

Mr. Tucker was about 68 years of age.
