Rev. John B. DeMotte, brother of Col. M. L. DeMotte, of this city, died at Englewood Saturday evening at the home of his daughter, whom he was visiting. The deceased was 82 years and the funeral was held at Greencastle Monday afternoon. Deceased was the oldest minister in the Northwest M. E. conference, having served 50 years, and was one of the pioneer ministers of the state.
