Sarah Cooper Crist Thomas died October 11 1873 and she was the last surviving child of General Henry Crist. Sarah lived out her final years practically in the shadow of the large home of her youth. The impressive house of stone still stands near Shepherdsville, and was of late owned by the Maraman family.
