William H. Reopell, 82, formerly of Trafton Road, died Sunday in a local nursing home. He was a parts manager for 45 years at Kronie's Automotive in Springfield, prior to retiring. Previously, he was he was in charge of the tool crib at Perkins Machine and Gear Co. of Springfield. Born in Springfield, he lived here most of his life, and lived in West Springfield for a brief time. He attended local schools and graduated from Commerce High School. He was a sergeant in the Army in World War II. He was a communicant of St. Michael's Cathedral and was a lifetime member of the Springfield Lodge of Elks 61.
He leaves his friend, Muriel Lockhart of Springfield.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday morning at St. Michael's Cemetery. A calling hour will precede the service at Byron's City Burial & Cremation Service, Springfield. Memorial contributions may be made to the Children's & Family Aid of Hampshire County, Trumbull Road, Northampton, MA 01060.
