US Congressman. He graduated from Dartmouth College, in 1905, studied law, was admitted to the bar in 1908 and commenced to practice law in Laconia, New Hampshire. He was the Laconia City Solicitor, 1915, Belknap County Solicitor, chairman of the board of education, and a member of the New Hampshire State tax commission. In 1925, he was elected as a Republican to the Sixty-ninth Congress and to the next three succeeding Congresses, serving until his death from pneumonia at age 53.
