Mary was the daughter of Nathaniel Morton and Sarah (Copeland) Morton Williams.

Mary's half-sister was Susan May (Williams) Bonaparte (2 Apr 1812 - 15 Sept 1881). She was the daughter of Benjamin Williams, of Roxbury, Massachusetts.

Mary married Hon. David Stewart (13 Sept 1800 - 5 Jan 1858) on 20 Oct 1825 in Baltimore, Maryland, as his first wife.

David was born in Baltimore, Maryland, to John Stewart (died Mar c.1802) and Helen (West) Stewart (4 Apr 1777 - 1860).

In 1838, David built the family homestead, "Upton," at 811 W. Lanvale Street in Baltimore City, Maryland. In 1868, Francis W. Dammann purchased "Upton".

Mary died of "inflammation of the brain."

David [2nd] married Priscilla Margaretta (Pinkney) Stewart (born 5 Aug 1805) on 9 June 1836 in Baltimore, Maryland.

Priscilla was the daughter of Jonathan Pinkney and Rebecca (?) Davidson Pinkney (born c.1780).

In the 1860 U.S. Census, Priscilla was living in Baltimore City, Maryland, with her mother.

In the 1870 U.S. Census, Priscilla was living with her brother, Capt. Robert Frederick Pinkney (born 13 May 1811), and sister, Henrietta Maria Pinkney (born 17 Sept 1809).

In the 1880 U.S. Census, Priscilla was living in Baltimore City, Maryland. Her sister, Henrietta, was living with her.

John [2nd] married Leonice Josephine (Moulton) Stewart (9 May 1934 - 13 Feb 1922) on 20 Oct 1853 in Troy, New York. She was born in New York to Joseph White Moulton (1789-1875) and Leonice Marsden (Sampson) Moulton (1811-1897). Leonice is #54175864. She is buried in the same cemetery as their daughter, Leonice Moulton (Stewart) Shaw.

John and Leonice were the parents of:

a) Helen West (Stewart) Ridgely (27 July 1854 - Apr 1929) was born at "Upton", Baltimore City, Maryland. She married Capt. John Ridgely, Sr. (22 Feb 1851 - 1938) of “Hampton Mansion” on 11 Sept 1873. He was the son of Charles Ridgely (1830-1872) and Margaretta Sophia (Howard) Ridgely (1824-1904).

b) David Stewart (born 24 Oct 1856) was born in Maryland.

c) Leonice Moulton (Stewart) Shaw ["Nona"] (22 May 1858 - 29 Jan 1920) married William Checkley Shaw (4 Feb 1852 - 9 Dec 1918) on 20 Feb 1877. He was born in Maryland to William C. Shaw (1824-1874) and Ann (DeButts) Shaw (1831-1859). William was the brother of Sophia Shaw (born c.1854) and Anna Shaw (born c.1857).
