OBITUARY: Jerome Kent Johnson was bom April 24, 1945, in Alamosa, Colorado to Mary Leone Hostetter and Jerome R Johnson, Kent passed away in Albuquerque, New Mexico on December 5, 2010. Kent was the oldest of 5 siblings.

Kent enjoyed hiking, backpacking & photography. Kent graduated from San Manuel, Arizona high school, He attended Adams State College. He like to work with his hands doing ceramics and woodworking. Kent served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints to Switzerland for 2 years. He lived in Denver for a time where he worked at a cash register repair service and a furniture manufacturer. Kent had spent the last 25 years at his favorite job, Zomeworks Passive Energy Products, where he designed most of their equipment, the exhaust system of the factory, and many of the solar projects. One of his co‑workers described Kent as the "Albert Einstein of today". A memorial service was held at Zomeworks on Thursday. Kent and his talents will be greatly missed. A plaque in Kent's office was one of his favorite sayings "If you don't have time to do it right, when will you have time to do it over" He was meticulous in the things he did

Kent enjoyed music and liked playing the flute, piano and harmonica. He loved to read and read the Encyclopedia from cover to cover as a child. Kent was patriotic and enjoyed discussing politics as well as many other subjects.

Kent is survived by his parents, Jerome and Mary Leone Johnson of Sanford, Brothers, Mike (Natalie) Johnson of Sanford, Scott (Karen) Johnson of La Jara, sister Annette (Ron ) Price of Alamosa, and numerous nieces & nephews and great nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Greg.

A funeral will be held Saturday, December 11, 2010 at 11 ‑.00 am in Sanford at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, with a viewing from 10 until 10‑.45 am.
