ATTACK PROVED FATAL
John M. Rodman, Well Known Insurance Man, Is Dead.
Louisville, Ky., March 28. John M. Rodman, an insurance man, who was stricken with apoplexy at Senning's hotel two weeks ago, died at the city hospital early yesterday morning. Mr. Rodman was found unconscious in his room at the hotel two weeks ago and was removed to the hospital for treatment. His condition at first showed much improvement, but several days ago he suffered a relapse and, lapsing into unconsciousness, sank gradually until the end came yesterday morning. Mr. Rodman had come to Louisville on business for a Cincinnati insurance company and had been here but four days when he was stricken with apoplexy.
Mr. Rodman was thirty-five years of age and was a native of Frankfort, where his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph L. Rodman, reside. He had lived in Louisville for several years, being connected with an insurance company here, but later he removed to Cincinnati. A brother, Joseph Rodman, a traveling salesman for a local wholesale dry goods firm, resides In Louisville. Mr. Rodman also leaves a divorced wife, who was Miss Evelyn Brown, daughter of the late Gov. John Young Brown. She obtained a divorce a year ago and retained the custody of a small daughter.
The body will be taken to Frankfort today for burial.
