BUTTERS, James McKeen, 92, who many years ago operated a store at Bellingham and at Marietta, where he also was the postmaster, died Saturday (Aug. 6, 1927) at Seattle at the home of his daughter, Mrs. L. B. Kellogg. Funeral services were held this afternoon in that city. Mr. Butters was the father of June Butters, of Bellingham. He retired from business seventeen years ago and removed to Seattle. He came to Puget Sound thirty-seven years ago. He was chaplain of the Green Lake G. A. R. post, No. 112.
