Philadelphia, Feb 28. State Senator George Vare died at his Germantown home to-night of typhoid pneumonia. He was attacked with the grip after making a speech at the University of Pennsylvania, and this developed into pneumonia. He began as a huckster and became a millionaire and a power in politics."
