Dewey D. Law was born to Jason Andrew Law and Edna Celestia Hulbert in Defiance County Ohio. He was one of six children that was taught how to work hard on the farm. His father died in 1911 and that had a tremendous effect on his life. Part of the family later moved to Detroit to secure employment. Dewey married Esther Brown in Detroit the 8th of Feb 1922. They had one child, Dewey Herbert Law 19 Jan 1933.
