Hinesville, Ga.

Dr. Thomas Brady Deen, 59, died in a Savannah Hospital Sunday Morning after a short illness. A native of Bacon County, he had been in the drugstore business in Hinesville for the past 23 years.

He was a former steward of the Hinesville Methodist Church; a member of the Hinesville Lodge #271 F&AM; a past Chancellor Commander of Hinesville Lodge #269 Knights of Pythias; a member of Temple #129, Dramatic Order Knights of Korassan of Savannah; a past District Grand Grand Chancellor and current Captain of Rank Team of the Hinesville Lodge #269 KP.

Survivimg are his wife, Mrs. Anna Strickland Deen; three daughters, Mrs. J.A. Patterson of Jaacksonville, Fla,; Misses Annette and Marilyn Deen of Hinesville; one sister, Mrs. A.J. Strickland of Waycross; five brothers, Braswell Deen, Sr., Floyd Deen, Stanford Deen, and Cecil Deen, all of Alma, and Ferris Deen of Calahan, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Hinesville Methodist Church with Rev. L.C. Harvard and Rev. S.A. Douthit officiating. Interment will be in the Springfield Methodist Church Cemetery near Alma at 5 P.M.

Pallbearers will be nephews, Braswell Deen, Jr., George Deennnnnnn, Sammy Deen, James Deen, Johnny Deen, and Marvin Deen. All members of Hinesville Lodge #269, KP will be honorary pallbearers.

The body will lie in state at the church for one hour before the services.
