Louisville Dailey Courier, Louisville, Kentucky, dated October 24, 1867
Fatal Accident:
On last Saturday evening Mr. James K. Logan, a well-known citizen of this county, met his death under the following circumstances: He was driving a yoke of young oxen in a wagon, when a plank moved out of its place; reaching over to replace it he lost his balance and fell out of the wagon, the lines becoming at the same time entangled in his feet. The oxen quickened their speed, and the wagon, coming in contact with a stump, was upset, and the hub of the wheel was thrown upon Mr. Logan’s side, inflicting such an injury as to cause his death in about three hours.
