Anna Crepeau Dies at age 48: Lifelong Resident of City Stricken in Club-rooms.
A sudden heart attack suffered shortly before 1 a. m. Sunday in the Avalon Grotto club-rooms. 131 North Main street, brought death to Mrs. Elton B. Crepeau, aged 48, of 620 North Michigan street. According to Coroner Marion W. Hillman, Mrs. Crepeau who had been under treatment by a physician for a heart ailment for several weeks, slumped suddenly in her chair.
She was dead on arrival in Memorial hospital a few minutes later.
Mrs. Crepeau was born Anna Goepfrich in South Bend April 5, 1899, and lived her entire life here. She was married in 1926 to Mr. Crepeau, who survives.
She also leaves five brothers, Frank, George, Joseph, Rudolph and Anthony Goepfrich, of South Bend, and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Resnik, South Bend, and Mrs. Madeline Stelzer, of Summitt, N. J. Friends will be received in the McGann funeral home until the funeral at 9 a. m. Tuesday in St. Joseph Catholic church.
Rev. Philip V. Beaghan, C.S.C., pastor, will sing the requiem mass. Burial will be in Cedar Grove cemetery. Members of the Ladies of Notre Dame will recite the rosary In the funeral home at 8:30 p. m. today.
Mrs. Crepeau was a past secretary of the women's auxiliary of post No. 50, American legion, a past vice-president of the Ladies of Notre Dame and a member of the Business and Professional Club.
