WEARE, N.H. — Gaston M. Grenier, 66, passed away Sunday, March 28, in McAllen, Texas, following a courageous battle with cancer.

Born June 10, 1943, in Disraeli, Canada, he was the son of Marie-Blanche(Fortier) Grenier and the late Omer Grenier.

In addition to his mother, he leaves his beloved wife of 47 years, Renelle L.(Belgarde) Grenier of Weare, N.H.; two sons, Bruno Grenier and his wife Kristen Grenier of Goffstown, N.H., and Luc Grenier and his wife Melissa(Withey) Grenier of Weare, N.H.; a daughter, Johanne Mahon, and her husband John of Thompson, Conn.; four sisters,Therese Lapointe of Canada, Rejanne Labranche of Canada, Diane Derusha of Ledyard, Conn., and Suzanne Lalumier of Willimantic, Conn.; four brothers, Gaetan Grenier of Montana, Michel Grenier of Willimantic, Francois Grenier of Maine and Yvan Grenier of Willimantic, Conn.; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his father and three brothers, Marcel Grenier of Canada, Dorian Grenier of Ashford, Conn., and Laurier Grenier of Canada.

Mr. Grenier moved to the United States in 1967, residing in Brooklyn, Conn., until moving to Bedford, N.H., in 1988. For the past eight years, he lived in Weare, N.H.

From 1977 to 1988, Mr. Grenier was employed by S.G. Milazzo as a member of Carpenters Union Local No. 24. From 1988 to 2006, he was a part owner of Granite State Drywall. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially spending time at his summer camp in Canada and wintering in Mission, Texas.

Mr. Grenier will be remembered for his love and devotion to his wife Renelle and his family, his wonderful sense of humor and as a hard worker who took great pride in his
trade. He was loved by all who knew him and will be sorely missed.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, April 6, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Goffstown, N.H. Following cremation,internment was in St. Joseph Cemetery in Bedford, N.H. on June 10, 2010.
