BROWN, JOHN R. - John R. Brown, one of the most prominent citizens of Howard county, died at his residence near Woodstock on the 25th inst. The services were conducted by Rev. S. M. Brandi, pastor of St. Alphonsus' Catholic
Church, Woodstock. The pall-bearers were Senator A. P. Gorman, Hon. Henry G. Davis, of West Virginia; Frank D. Brown, S. Thos. Brown, Wm. H. Gorman and J. Frank Brown, all nephews of the deceased. The remains were interred
in the old family burying ground at Goodfellowship, his home.
