Former Senator Clark Unable to Reach Bedside of Dying Daughter
Former Senator W. A. Clark, who has been in Butte, was suddenly called to his summer home in Rangeley, Maine, Wednesday night by the announcement that his eldest daughter, Andree Clark, was seriously ill. A telegram received by J Ross Clark yesterday announced the death of Miss Clark at 5 o'clock yesterday morning. Senator Clark was therefore unable to reach his daughter before her death.
Mrs. Clark and her children have been spending the summer at their home in Rangleley, where Andree, age 17 years, was taken seriously ill with an attack of cerebro spinal meningitis. This young lady was highly gifted and made a host of friends while visiting with her mother in Butte last summer.
