" George M. Kloeppel, 72, Westphalia, died Monday at his home. He was born July 29, 1900 in Freeburg, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kloeppel. He was married Oct. 21, 1932 in Loose Creek to Helen Nilges, who died Oct. 6, 1972.
A farmer, Mr. Kloeppel was a member of St. Joseph Church, the Men's Sodality, the Knights of Columbus and the Western Catholic Union.
Survivors inlcude: 5 sons, Norman Kloeppel, Westphalia; Anthony Kloeppel, Wardsville; James Kloeppel, Michael Kloeppel, and Charles Kloeppel, all fo the home,; a brother, Joe Kloeppel, Westphalia; a sister, Mrs. Kate Gerau, St. Louis and 9 grandchildren.
Services will be Thursday (today) at St. Joseph Church with the Rev. John Degnan officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery."
