Erik Donn Anderson, the son of Don and Helen Anderson, was born November 22, 1965. His childhood years were spent in Walnut Grove and Windom, MN as well as Emmetsburg and Spencer, Iowa where he received his education. He attended Iowa Lakes Community College for Law Enforcement. He was a reserve police officer and last worked in Barncroft, Iowa. He earned several special endorsements in law enforcement and he loved to protect and serve.
Erik's favorite pastime was reading. If anyone in his family ever had a question about anything they simply asked the human encyclopedia. His love for reading gave him the world and he enjoyed sharing it with all of us. He also enjoyed being with his family. Erik was very willing to help out whenever needed. He had a great sense of humor and entertained us with a good joke. Erik loved buying gifts and greeting cards. He always found the perfect gift or card no matter the occasion. He will be missed terribly.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Don and Helen Anderson of Spencer, IA; a sister, Brady Jo Hare of Spencer, IA; a brother and sister-in-law, Tony and Teri Anderson of Orange City, IA; one niece and four nephews, Libby and Samuel Hare, Tyler, Kyle, and Michael Anderson; other relatives and friends.
