Anna Christine Koester, the daughter of Henry and Eleanora Meyer Koester, was born September 18, 1894, near Paullina, Iowa. She received her education at St. John's Lutheran School at Germantown. For many years she helped her family farm southwest of Paullina. She lived on the family farm until entering the Wide View Nursing Home in Paullina in April of 1984. She continued to make her home there until entering the Baum-Harmon Hospital in Primghar and passing away on Friday, February 21, 1986 reaching the age of 91 years, 5 months and 3 days.

Anna was baptized on October 7, 1894 at her home and later confirmed on April 8, 1908, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Germantown. She had been a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Paullina since April of 1910. She was also a charter member of the Dorcus Society of the Church.

Anna is survived by many cousins and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant brother and brother, Carl.
