Lucille "Lou" Mary Gengler was born on September 18, 1930 in Cavour, SD to Nick & Cecilia (Arnes) Gengler. She graduated in 1948 from Elkton South Dakota High School. After high school she moved to Denver and San Francisco. She then moved to Minneapolis in 1956 where she married Dowain LaCourse. In 1970 they moved to Sleepy Eye where they owned Sleepy Eye Bowl. They later divorced in 1974. On July 25, 1975 she married Adelbert "Aut" Seidl in Aberdeen, SD. After they sold the bowling alley Lou worked for AUI and retired from there in 1995. Lou was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Christian Mothers, VFW & Legion Auxiliary and Catholic Aid. She was lovingly cared for by her husband and daughter. Lou loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Lou is survived by her husband, Aut Seidl of Sleepy Eye, children, Dan (Deb) LaCourse & their children LeAnn, Kevin & Stephanie of New Ulm, Jodie (Brian) Steffensmeier & their children Nicole & Sara of Sleepy Eye, Pat (Ann) LaCourse & their children Katy, Hallie & Teri of Sleepy Eye, brothers & sisters, Lorraine Steffen of Ellsworth, WI, Francis "Dunker" Gengler of Brookings, SD, Dorothy "Dottie" Johnson of Irvine, CA, Mary Catherine Adams of San Leandro, CA, Rosemary "Tootie" McTague of Aberdeen, SD, sisters-in-law, Geraldine Gengler of Brookings, SD, Cel Zinniel of Sleepy Eye and Gladys Grabow of Coon Rapids, MN and brother-in-law, Chuck Haitlan of Escindido, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Margaret Haitlen, brothers, Milton, Arnie (Edna), father & mother-in-law, Frank & Cecilia Seidl, sister-in-law, Alice Gengler, brothers-in-law, Linus Seidl, Joe Zinniel, Vic Grabow, Bob McTague, Bob Steffen, Clem Adams and Roy Johnson.
