Rites Held For Mrs. Josh Lee
Mrs. Josh (Louise) Lee, 80, widow of a former U.S. senator and mother-in-law of a former Cordell man, died Tuesday, Dec. 6, in the Norman Municipal Hospital after a lengthy illness.
She was the mother-in-law of Don Symcox, Norman Banker and former Cordell resident.
Funeral services were held at 3:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9, in the Norman First Baptist church. Burial was in the IOOF cemetery there under the direction of Primrose Funeral Home.
Mrs. lee was born Dec. 17, 1896 in Woodward.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Collectors Quest Club AU chapter of PEO, Black Beaver chapter of DAR, Thursday Sewing Club, Baptist Women's Missionary circle, American Legion Auxiliary, Hospital Auxiliary, Women's Democratic Club of Washington, D.C., Congress Club of Washington, D.C., and Senate Ladies Club.
Survivors include one son, Robert J. Lee of Norman; one daughter, Mrs. Don Symcox of Norman, and four grandchildren.
